Permanent Deletion

1. Submitting a Deletion Request

You may request permanent deletion of your Ovr Finance account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@ovrfinance.io with the subject line "Delete My Account."

To verify identity and protect privacy, please include:

    The email address associated with your Ovr Finance account

    A clear statement confirming that you wish to permanently delete your account

We will verify the request before processing to ensure it is legitimate.

2. Scope of Data Deletion

Once verified, Ovr Finance will delete:

Personal Information

Name, email, login credentials, linked financial data

Connected Integrations

Plaid, Stripe, Apple, Google - unlinked and removed

Temporary Retention for Legal Compliance

Certain limited records may be temporarily retained only to meet legal, regulatory, or legitimate business obligations:

  • Fraud detection and prevention
  • Accounting and tax compliance
  • Security incident investigation

3. Retention and Exceptions

In line with our Data Retention Policy, limited transactional or system data may remain in secure backup systems for up to 90 days after deletion to comply with financial and audit requirements.

After that period:

  • Backups are automatically purged and cryptographically destroyed
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics

4. Processing Timeframe

After successful verification, the deletion process begins immediately

You will receive written confirmation once deletion is finalized

If technical delays arise (e.g., third-party queue times), you will be notified promptly.

5. Irreversibility of Deletion

Warning: Permanent Action

Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once completed, all personal information is removed from active systems and cannot be recovered.

To use Ovr Finance again, you must create a new account and re-authorize any financial connections.

6. Security and Verification

Audit Logging

All deletion actions are logged for auditing and verified through multi-factor authentication

Encryption

Data in transit and at rest is encrypted (AES-256, TLS 1.3)

Deletion workflows are reviewed quarterly to maintain compliance with global privacy standards.
