Learn how to permanently delete your Ovr Finance account and understand what happens to your data.

1. Your Right to Delete
You have the right to request permanent deletion of your Ovr Finance account and associated personal data at any time.
This right is protected by:
- GDPR Article 17 - Right to Erasure (EU/EEA)
- UK GDPR Article 17 - Right to Erasure (United Kingdom)
- CCPA §1798.105 - Right to Delete (California)
- CPRA - California Privacy Rights Act
- Virginia VCDPA - Right to Delete
- Colorado CPA - Right to Delete
- Connecticut CTDPA - Right to Delete
- Utah UCPA - Right to Delete
- FTC Safeguards Rule - Secure Data Disposal
No Conditions Required
You may request deletion:
- At any time, for any reason or no reason
- Without penalty - No fees or charges
- Without discrimination - No denial of services
- Without providing justification
2. Before You Delete
Deletion is permanent and irreversible
Before proceeding, consider the following:
You Will Lose:
- Access to your account and all features
- Financial data and insights
- AI recommendations and personalized settings
- Subscription benefits (if applicable)
- All saved preferences and configurations
- Account history and communications
You Cannot:
- Recover deleted data
- Reactivate your account
- Access previous transactions or reports
- Restore subscription benefits
Automatic Cancellations:
- Active subscriptions will be cancelled (no refunds for unused time)
- Scheduled payments will be cancelled
- Bank account connections will be disconnected
- Third-party integrations will be removed
Recommended Actions Before Deletion:
Export Your Data
Email privacy@ovrfinance.io with subject "Data Export Request" (CSV, JSON, PDF formats available)
Cancel Subscriptions
Settings > Billing > Cancel Subscription
Disconnect Bank Accounts
Settings > Connected Accounts > Disconnect

2.2 What Happens to Pending Purchases and Charges
Active Autopay Transactions:
- Autopay transactions scheduled within next 3 business days will process
- Transactions beyond 3 days will be cancelled
- No refunds for cancelled future transactions if you pre-purchased
Recent Add-On Purchases:
- AI recalibrations purchased but not used within 24 hours: No refund
- Autopay unlimited monthly subscription: No refund for unused time
Pending Overage Charges:
- Outstanding overage charges will be collected before account closure
- You cannot delete account with unpaid charges
Subscription Refunds:
- No refunds for unused subscription time (per our Terms Section 6)
- Monthly subscriptions: Continue until end of current period
- Annual subscriptions: No prorated refunds
3. How to Submit a Deletion Request
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Fastest)
Mobile App (iOS/Android):
- Open Ovr Finance app
- Go to Settings > Account > Privacy & Security
- Tap "Delete My Account"
- Enter password to confirm
- Tap "Permanently Delete"
Web App:
- Log in to www.ovrfinance.io
- Navigate to Settings > Account Settings
- Click "Delete My Account"
- Re-enter password for security
- Click "Confirm Deletion"
Method 2: Email Request

Subject Line: "Delete My Account"
Required Information:
- 1. Full name (as registered on account)
- 2. Email address associated with account
- 3. Clear statement: "I request permanent deletion of my Ovr Finance account and all associated data."
Response Time: We acknowledge all requests within 1 business day.
IMPORTANT: Active Autopay Transactions
If you have pending autopay transactions scheduled:
- Transactions scheduled within next 7 days will still process
- You will receive final confirmation emails
- After 7 days, all future autopay is permanently cancelled
- You must manually pay your credit cards after account deletion
4. Identity Verification
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion, we must verify that you are the legitimate account holder.
In-App Deletion:
- Password re-entry required
- Session verified
- Device recognized (if MFA enabled)
Email Deletion:
- Email from registered account
- May ask security questions
- 2FA code (if enabled)
Verification Timeline:
- In-app: Instant (password verification)
- Email: 1-2 business days (manual review)
- Enhanced: 3-5 business days (additional checks)
5. Scope of Data Deletion
Personal Information:
- Full name, email, phone number
- Password (encrypted hash)
- Profile photo or avatar
- Account preferences and settings
Financial Data:
- Linked bank account identifiers
- Payment history and records
- Debt payoff projections and goals
- AI-generated recommendations
Technical Data:
- Device information and IP addresses
- Usage logs and analytics data
- Session data and cookies
- Error logs with personal identifiers
Communications:
- Support tickets and messages
- Feedback and survey responses
- Email correspondence
- In-app messages
Data That Cannot Be Fully Deleted:
Anonymized/Aggregated Data:
- Cannot be linked back to you
- Used for statistical analysis only
- Compliant with GDPR Article 17(3)(e)

Permanent Deletion
Days 31-60 - Personal data erased from production
Backup Purging
Days 61-90 - Complete erasure from all systems
Expedited Timeline (No Grace Period):
Available upon request - 7-14 days to complete erasure. Warning: No ability to reactivate.
8. Irreversibility Warning
CRITICAL WARNING: DELETION IS PERMANENT AND IRREVERSIBLE
All data is gone forever - Cannot be recovered
No backups exist - Even we cannot restore your account
No reactivation possible - Must create new account from scratch
No refunds - Subscription fees are non-refundable
9. Third-Party Data
Data held by third parties is governed by their policies:
